What Amazing Grace!

This year, it was the 10th Canadian Thanksgiving without Leo, our only child, with us in the physical. I felt the anxiety creeping up as the long weekend was approaching. The change of weather with the grey and cloudy sky, the rain and the chill in the air all added to the melancholy I was feeling.

Once I recognized the cause of the anxiety, I went within and allowed whatever emotion to arise and fill my being. I felt the discomfort in my heart and my body. I contemplated and let it stay as long as it needed to. I knew I was feeling the sadness for myself and for all the mothers in a similar situation. I sent love and felt compassion for myself and others. I could hear Leo saying what he had told me before, “You can grieve, but don’t suffer.”

He reminded me how Self Care and Self Compassion are vital for healing.

I am aware this will never change. It does not matter how long it has been, I will always be missing my Leo with his smile, his voice, and his fun ways while I am still in this physical body. Love and Grief are interwoven as I have come to know. That sense of “loss” is a reminder of the love we have for each other. My beloved son has demonstrated in countless ways how he is always with us with signs and synchronicities, The SnS are so stunning and numerous that I was inspired to write a book about them, The Infinite Bond.

My husband and I are fully convinced of Leo’s continuing existence and his current mission of Peace and Compassion. The three of us are always connected by our “Bond that will never be broken,” as Leo once told me as a child.

A few days later, the grip loosened and I became aware of the miracles that started to unfold over the long weekend…

On Friday, I heard from one of Leo’s friends who recently returned to BC for a visit with his family. J grew up and went to school with Leo and had ventured out to the east coast to start his career a few years ago. I still remember the details he shared about the visit Leo paid him that first night, within a few hours of Leo’s transition. J was most helpful in reaching out to us and provided us with the support we needed in the chaos. He has been a good friend to Leo and respectful of us.

As we had already made plans for Saturday, we arranged to meet for lunch on Sunday. As we drove to the restaurant, we saw a vehicle with a LEO license plate but didn’t take a picture. We enjoyed our visit with J, and I shared a lot about the signs from Leo, including the LEO license plates. Interestingly, the same car was still parked by the roadside when we were driving home.

Within the next minute, we saw another parked car with a LEO license plate. This time, I had to acknowledge the sure signs from our son by snapping the two pictures and thanking him for being with us.

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon, and we went to walk in the park near us. I was taking pictures of Leo’s Tree in the sunlight when I felt the nudge to look up in the opposite direction. Clear as day, a huge “L” appeared in the blue sky. L for Leo and Love! It is most comforting to hear from our son in all these different ways.

“Mom, I love that you met with my friend. Of course, I am with you and Dad when you were all taking about me. We are always together as a family.”

Just as we saw J entering the restaurant that morning, the time was 11:11 on my phone.

I love all the Angel numbers our son shows us consistently, like the 3:33 we got as we began to walk home from the park.

I decided to give J some evidence of what I had said about the SnS. I sent him pictures of the two LEO plates which appeared before and after our meeting. Just as I was typing, the time was exactly 4:44!  I added in my text that it was an Angel number, a clear sign from Spirit. It doesn’t matter whether he believes it or not. I know he always keeps Leo in his heart, and he knows his dear friend watches over him.

We couldn’t have asked for more gorgeous weather on Monday, Thanksgiving Day. Again, we visited the park. There was beauty everywhere we looked. The fall colours of red, orange, yellow, green, and brown against the bright blue sky.

The golden light added magic to everything it fell on. It was delightful just walking around and snapping pictures. I was talking with Leo, thanking him for the most amazing family time together. I let him know how grateful we were – and are – for all the magical signs and loving messages he is giving me and his beloved Dad.

I had barely finished when a car with a 333-license plate appeared. We were almost back to our car, and I didn’t bother to get my phone out for a picture. I changed my mind so quickly in the next moment when I saw the LEO plate on the car right across from ours. It was positioned in such a way it couldn’t be missed. I grabbed the phone in my bag and snapped a picture just in time before the driver got in the car to drive away. Always perfect timing!

We were happy to be invited to join our good friends for dinner. They are now closer than any family we have in the world. We went to pick up some goodies to share with them. It is again no coincidence that where we chose to park had the number 303 on the ground. This Calling Code from Leo validates his presence with us wherever we go.

“Mom, I am with you and Dad, Thanksgiving or not. I am grateful to have you as my parents!”

Not only were we reconnected with Leo’s good friend, but CK was able to video chat with one of his siblings from overseas via the help of technology and his niece. He comes from a huge family of over 10 children. It was his sister’s 90^th birthday. It was heartwarming to witness them share about the good old times.

I am not surprised and always in awe of what Spirit/Leo blesses us with. My gratitude overflows for all the magical and miraculous gifts of Love and Healing we receive from our precious son. What Amazing Grace we have! Our Compassionate Son shows us Grace is like sunlight that shines on all, without discrimination.
