Our website has been well received in the few days since it was launched. Encouraging comments and love are sent our way every day and mainly from people whom we have never met before. So grateful that Leo has connected us with people across the world. We are especially pleased to know that others who have ‘lost’ their children have found us and feel hope and comfort upon visiting the website.
“Sending my love to Mabel and CK Chan in British Columbia and their son, Leo, who transitioned at age 19 from bacterial meningitis. I enjoyed Leo’s presence in two readings with Mabel and CK, and again when he dropped in on us in my Serving Spirit class in Tacoma. Mabel and CK’s new website honoring Leo is a beautiful way to help others come to know this amazing young man (I love how they know to refer to him always in the present tense throughout the site), and to celebrate how the Chan family has made a true difference in our world thanks to their tireless efforts to make changes in Canada’s preventive measures regarding meningitis. Like so many Shining Light Parents who turn tragedy into beneficial changes in our world, congratulations are in order for Mabel and CK for being shining lights for all of us! Please come to know this inspiring family at www.leoinspiresus.com”

“What a privilege this is – getting to know Leo, Mabel, and CK. “Leo Inspires Us” is such a treasure. I’ve read about how this brilliant young man wanted to become a human rights lawyer, and how he had the potential to become a strong leader. It’s unquestionable that Leo would have succeeded at anything he chose to do. Perhaps he would have made quite a difference in the political arena. It’s tempting to focus on that loss of potential – losing a young man who could have done so much good in the world. But looking at it “from the top down”, as Suzanne and Sanaya would say, reveals a glorious truth: Leo’s life has a purpose far beyond what could be accomplished with any degree or career choice or job title. Dear Mabel and CK: the way the three of you continue to work together IS changing the world.”

The ‘Glorious Truth’ is seen when viewing from a different perspective. It truly resonates with what my heart shows me. Leo is still working with us to make positive changes. No degree or work title can accomplish what he is able to do now.
I was guided here via an email from Peter and Zia this morning…..and I am so so grateful.
The wonderful light and glorious love that radiates from Leo and yourselves in every picture and word written shows that Leo’s very special gifts have and will continue to shine out helping and guiding us.
I feel very honoured to have met Leo and you via these pages today,
His light now shines in my heart too….with grateful thanks to Leo and yourselves …..
