The Preponderance of Evidence

The stunning signs and synchronicities I have been receiving from our beloved Leo continue to lift us up and give us hope, love, and joy. The phrase “Preponderance of Evidence” kept ringing in my head days before we went to Victoria for a sacred ceremony at Leo’s Fragrant Fountain. It is where his ashes were buried and continue to nurture the growth and development of the handsome tree it has become. This particular ceremony was dedicated to honouring all the transitioned sons and daughters from Helping Parents Heal, and also for all the parents and families.

It is amazing how I kept feeling their joy and excitement from the moment I set the intention for the ceremony. “I’ll be there” was the message and they were giving me signs of their acknowledgement. Little Abbe is a great example. He was three when he suddenly returned to the Light about a year ago. His parents and older siblings living in Sweden were devastated by his passing. Linda and I are connected across the continents, and I have always felt a deep love for Abbe. Ten days before our ceremony, I received a heart sign text from Linda at exactly 12:30 pm my time. I shared with her that this was my birth date (“birthday number”). I told her that Leo was with Angel Abbe. We were also sharing about the Angel numbers that we both receive. Before I knew it, I found myself turning around to look at the TV screen where I saw “Angel,” the name of the music playing softly in the background.

I knew it was no coincidence and our Angel sons were right there with us. We were still talking when I heard “Over the Rainbow,” a song that means a lot to parents like ourselves.

It was incredible when soon afterwards, “You raised Me Up” came on.

I remember the students in the school where I once worked would rehearse this song for a month before Mother’s Day. In those early days after Leo’s transition, I had to run out of the building every time I heard it to avoid a meltdown. Not anymore!

Music is one of Leo’s passions, and naturally, he communicates with me that way!

Since I discovered that 311 is Abbe’s birthday number, I have been seeing it almost every day on license plates and my cell phone. While we were waiting at the ferry terminal to sail to Victoria, 311 appeared along with all the other Angel numbers on car plates.

On the day of the ceremony, it was the time when I woke up and found a spiritual poem named “This Presence’’ arriving on my phone. Just as we were entering the parking lot at the Gardens, a car with a 311 plate was the first to catch our attention. Both Linda and I could see Leo holding Abbe’s hand and taking good care of him in the Spirit world!

The hummingbird has always been a messenger from Leo. I have written about it extensively in my book “The Infinite Bond.” On entering the gift shop, I saw the images of this magical bird on the water bottle and the plaque. I knew they were Leo’s signs for me to say he was right there with us.

I felt that I needed to return to the shop a second time even though I needed nothing. As I was standing there, I heard these lyrics, “You are my Angel, You lift me up when I fall down”. Those are the only words I was there for. Who could have known those were my exact words to thank Leo after my fall just a week ago? I still had a band-aid on my knee and am fortunate that no bones were broken.  I went to ask the attendant and was told that the song was sung by a popular contemporary male singer and played from a CD. It was – and is – always Perfect Timing!

The weather couldn’t have been better for sailing on the sea. I went up to the seventh level and walked out to the deck where people were enjoying the spectacular scenery. What caught my eye was the name of the ship, “Coastal Celebration,” and the orange buoy that had “Victoria” on it.

Leo and all his friends knew we were going to Victoria to have a celebration! They were all excited to be with us at Leo’s Tree.

We always feel welcome in the Gardens with the loveliest scents and sights that meet us. The Splendour of Spring is evident with the gorgeous blooming flowers. Leo’s Tree was glorious, surrounded by the beauty of Nature.

We loved the dainty purple flowers in the grass and the strong pink magnolias behind it. The brilliant sunlight gave a golden sheen to every thing it touched. We all enjoyed the warmth of the sun’s kisses on our heads and necks. It was the most comfortable weather for being outdoors and we felt the connection with the Divine. We always feel love and joy at Leo’s sacred tree. We know he is with us in Spirit and showering us with blessings.

We included all our children from HPH. I welcomed all our honoured guests, visible and invisible. I was aware of their presence surrounding us like the countless twinkling stars in a clear night sky. I called out the names of those I know and remember, the children and their parents. I could feel the gentle breeze hugging me as soon as the prayers were chanted. We were aware of the presence of all kinds of birds around and above us. My husband, CK, is attuned to the high-frequency sounds of the hummingbirds who were there. The majestic eagles came to visit and soared high above in the bright blue sky.

The Canada Geese flew over us in formation. And a lone black raven sat on the top of a tree watching over us throughout the ceremony. We were grateful for their presence.

Before we concluded and packed up to leave, I asked the children to send signs to their parents and loved ones who are missing them.

As we were strolling along the harbour front in the afternoon, I had to stop twice to remove my ankle boot to see if there was a rock poking my foot. The second time, a silver coin came out. It was a Canadian commemorative dime, the Bluenose!

There is no logic as to how it got there. I was wearing the same shoes all morning and the day before. I am not surprised anymore as it is not the first time Leo has gifted me and his Dad with special coins.

On the way to catch our ferry home, we had to get something from the trunk of the car and CK pulled into a beach parking lot close to the University. I was thrilled that he made that decision when we saw the 303 plate. “MOM and Dad, thank you! You always make the best decisions with your heart.”

We had to be at the Driving Center early the following morning. It is the same place where Leo got his Driver’s license. It was no coincidence when I suddenly turned my head and saw “Excel 8.”

I knew exactly what Leo was telling me. And soon afterwards, we were walking back to our car and right there we saw a license plate with a clear message from all our kids. They were saying, “We Are Here.”

To top it off, while we stopped at the red light as we were leaving, both CK and I saw – clear as day – the license plate on the car that went by, LEO 44P. “Mom and Dad, I have been with you all along: in Victoria, at the ceremony, and now heading back home together.”
