Regrets are common among us with children who have returned to the Spirit world. Regrets seem to go hand in hand with grief. Anything we had not said or done when they were here seems impossible now. That’s what the human mind would tell us. When this happens, we feel guilty and angry with ourselves, thus causing further suffering. Leo has been making it crystal clear that there are “No regrets!” This article will help you understand why.
With its majestic mountains, glaciers, and placid lakes, Whistler is one of the most beautiful places in British Columbia and even Canada.
It is a popular area for tourists all year round. I have met an avid skier from Switzerland who claimed it is the best place to ski in the world. One summer, my son Leo asked me if we could go to Whistler with him. He told me that people from around the world went there and we lived so close that it was easy for us to visit. We had been there with him a number of times and he loved going skiing with his school. He was right. I don’t understand why I refused and said he could go with his friends. It never occurred to me that he wanted us to go as a family. That he would one day have to leave this world before us was unimaginable.
This has become one of my regrets since Leo’s sudden and unexpected transition at age 19. I’ve talked about it with my husband, CK. I have often wished that we had taken that trip to Whistler with Leo.
But over the years, we have been hearing from him and receiving ongoing signs and synchronicities affirming his continuing Consciousness. “Mom, I am right here with you and Dad,” is the message. Our loving son always gives us tangible evidence that he is with us wherever we are and wherever we go. So, after a while, we realized we could continue to go places with him.
Since that realization, we have been going with Leo to Whistler every summer as a family. The signs our son has given us are nothing short of magical.
I recall the first time we went with Leo without his physical form, we were nudged to take the “Peak 2 Peak” gondola ride. Here’s how it is described: “Whistler’s Peak 2 Peak Gondola offers the most accessible and awe-inspiring scenic experience in all of Canada’s Coast Mountains. Suspended a record 436 meters above the valley floor, the Gondola transports guests over the 4.4km span between Whistler and Blackcomb mountains year-round.”
We had to take a gondola up to the Whistler Peak for the spectacular Peak 2 Peak ride. As soon as we disembarked and walked out onto the flat area, we heard music blaring from the only structure near us.
We both said, “In the Arms of an Angel.” It was well chosen as it’s a song written and sung by Canadian artist, Sarah McLaughlin. We knew Leo was hugging us and saying, “We are finally here as a family.” It was an emotional experience. It was neither the first nor last time our son has used music to connect with us. He is passionate about Music.
The following summer, our friends came with us. We were on the last gondola up to the Peak. Almost at the identical spot as before, we heard music again and, “I will be coming home, wait for me…” I feel Leo’s powerful Presence with us every time.
The younger girl of this family we were travelling with was still in elementary school then. We were at the children’s playground with her while waiting for our rooms. I remember it was exactly 3:33 pm when I got the text saying that our rooms were ready. It was quite a pleasant surprise when we arrived to find that CK and I were assigned room 333 in the hotel with four levels. This is an Angel number we get often and there is no coincidence – our Angel Leo with us!
The time we were there before the pandemic, we were given a spacious suite. As soon as we entered this time, I saw a sign saying, “LIVE SIMPLY” above the fireplace.
I had no doubt Leo was making himself known. He had told me clearly when he was still with us in physical form: “I am a man of simple needs.” And he certainly practiced what he believed in. I couldn’t have prepared for what happened the next day.
It was a glorious morning and CK had gone out for his walk. I was trying to move from the living room to the balcony with my cup of tea. Suddenly, I heard a swishing sound and felt warmth in my legs. I looked around and saw the fireplace at my side all lit up. It was intriguing as I had never touched anything to turn it on. The room was warm enough with the sunlight streaming in. The night before, I had to ask CK to turn on the bedroom fireplace as I didn’t have a clue how to do it.
I sat down on the sofa staring at the fire and the crystals inside. “Thank you, Leo! We love that you are here with us.” The fire then disappeared. I sat there for quite a while before I could get my phone to snap a picture.
It was much later when I found out from CK that the fireplace could only be activated with a remote control which was not placed anywhere near me.
Leo gives us signs and messages in a myriad of ways. We took our friend out to lunch after a walk around one of the beautiful lakes. It must be the only place among all the restaurants there that give out fortune cookies. Interestingly, CK and I got the same message: “You are going places.” This is what I have been saying to Leo every single day, “We are going places together, Son.” What an appropriate response! Our friend got a totally different message on hers.
The signs and messages from Leo during this most recent trip are consistent, as always. We were seeing Angel numbers and his Calling Codes all the way to Whistler. That evening after dinner, we were strolling leisurely in the village while I talked to our son. I was nudged to look up and there it was on a building, Angel number 21.21. I always love the instant responses from Leo. He was right there at our side, and he heard every word I uttered. Just amazing!
The hotel staff places weird-looking stuffed toys in all the rooms.
They are handmade, are for sale, and each one looks different. I snapped a picture of the bed when we entered the room but never paid attention to the details.
I could have missed seeing what’s on this strange item if CK had not moved it from the bed to the couch. Again, I was alone and relaxing on the couch when suddenly it caught my attention. There was a big green heart on its body.
Leo gives us hearts in the most creative ways. The heart on the jewelry box that I wrote about in my last post was a stunning one. We love them all and we love you, Leo!
On this trip, we found two eateries near the hotel that we had never been to before. One afternoon after our gondola ride, we went to one of them and had a good time, enjoying the food and the positive energy. Towards the end of the meal, I showed CK the painting on the wall, a deer with huge antlers and a tiny hummingbird.
No coincidence again. These are subjects of two chapters in my book, “The Infinite Bond: My Son’s Messages from across the Veil,” inspired by Leo.
The other place is special because all their pastas are produced in the back kitchen. It was only open on the last day of our trip, and we made sure we went because they serve Leo’s favourite foods. One of his Calling Codes, 888, appeared while we were waiting outside.
A blue Steller’s Jay was posing for me instead of flying away when I took its pictures.
It is a “Mom and Pop” kind of place where another stunning SnS appeared while I stood at the counter to place our order. It was exactly 11:11 am on my phone! This is a daily “Hello Mom and Dad” from our son and this time he was also saying “I am grateful you always keep me in your heart. You are the best parents!”
More Calling Codes and Angel numbers appeared as we were driving home. Leo’s signature sign, a car with a LEO license plate, was waiting for us as we were only minutes away from our residence. It was undeniable we were returning home with him as a family.
The irrefutable signs are comforting for us. Each of them is a blessing of Joy and Wonder. It can be Whistler or any part of the world we are in, and Leo always manifests himself with the most loving and profound messages:
“We are still family, and I am always with you, Mom and Dad.”
“No regrets! Keep going places and we will have fun together.”
“There is No separation when we keep each other in our hearts and souls.”
Absolutely, Son! We never forget. We have An Infinite Bond.

I like your title, No Regrets. I think we experience regret at varying stages of our lives for things we failed to do or opportunities missed. Regardless. things will be alright as Leo has always pointed out. Omissions are never counted at the other side. Instead, there is love, companionship, As evidenced by the different events; the music, the fireplace, room number and the time of its availability, the plate number as you near home, once again Leo confirms that he is always with you. “There is no separation when we keep each other in our hearts and souls” indeed.
Isn’t that a most profound and powerful message? This is not an easy journey. Leo knows and makes it easier for us to navigate with his Compassion and Wisdom. Blessings to you, Cora and yours! ???
What beautiful signs you receive from your Leo! , “In the Arms of an Angel.” By Sarah McLaughlin is one of the songs I most listen to when I’m thinking of our son Riley. I have always loved her music and have even seen her live many years ago. Her album “Mirrorball” is one of my favorites. Riley has also sent me hearts and they are so special to receive. He sends me signs with rainbows as well … Sending you much love and light Mabel. Thank you for sharing your Leo with us ?
