Happy Birthday to my Dearest MOM!

It’s been 13 years since our beloved Leo was here in the physical to celebrate my birthday. After he completed his exams in December 2011, he came home for the Christmas holidays, strong and healthy, and happy to be with us. We were delighted as we had missed having him home. He was attending the University of Victoria, where he’d received a four-year Scholarship of Excellence.

That year, Leo presented me with the most beautiful birthday card and a gift wrapped in a pink ribbon that matched my pink velvet jacket perfectly. I wore it that one time, and it has been hanging in the wardrobe ever since. We had a wonderful time together as a family that day and evening. I got seriously ill the day after and couldn’t talk to, or spend time with, Leo before he returned to university.

Two weeks after our happy event, we saw our only child in the ICU at a hospital in Victoria. He never woke up from the induced coma, and soon afterwards, we had to make the most difficult decision as parents. We had to give permission for him to leave his human body.

Our loving and brilliant son ever enjoys fun and laughter. Over the years, he has been sending us gifts in all ways and forms. The most significant are the countless signs and synchronicities, which are his way of validating his Continuing Consciousness / Presence with us. He will never stop showing us that Love and Life are both eternal.

The messages are always uplifting, comforting, and many can feel his love and humour. I’ve documented and shared them through my Leo-inspired book, “The Infinite Bond: My Son’s Messages from Across the Veil,” and I continue to do so with these blog articles on Leo’s website and posts on the Helping Parents Heal Facebook group.

CK and I are immensely grateful for all the ways our son communicates with us wherever we are in the world. Those who have been following my writings will have seen the pictures I’ve shared over the years. There are LEO license plates; Angel numbers, such as 888 and 11.11; Calling Codes, like 303 (MOM), flowers, hearts, animals like deer, bears, hummingbirds, and dogs; a cloud with an image of a lion in the sky,

coins, the golden light, human angels, and many more.

We don’t usually request anything because of all the gifts Leo continues to shower us with. But this year, I had been asking for something special. I told Leo that I would love to get a hug from him for my birthday. The days leading up to the Winter Solstice have minimal daylight. Coupled with the cold and rain where we live, it can feel quite dismal. This year, Leo has been showering us with golden light on many days, literally and metaphorically.

It was raining the day before the Solstice, and I asked CK if we could go for a special latte which I suddenly had an urge for. On the way to the coffee shop, we saw the 303-license plate right in front of us,

followed by license plates with the Angel number 222, and then a secret code our son gave us when he was young.  We knew Leo was coming with us.

As soon as we entered the shop, we saw how crowded it was. The only table available just had a single chair. Closest to us was a mother with her baby on her lap, and they had a spare chair across from them. We were surprised and so thankful when she offered to move to the table with the single chair, giving us her table with two chairs. I helped her move the big baby stroller and she carried her baby. All this time, I noticed that the baby was smiling at me. He was very young and gorgeous, with big eyes that sparkled with light. While lining up to order, I started talking with the mom and found that her beautiful baby would be seven months old the next day. It was obvious the baby was very much loved and well cared for. He was not shy at all and even extended his arms to me. His friendliness and sweet innocence encouraged me to ask if I could hold him. He came over to my arms willingly and we hugged each other. He was so at ease with me, and his mom was so trusting. She also took pictures of us together.

I shared with her about Leo, whom she was interested in learning about.  Before we parted, we decided we would meet again soon.

This was not a random encounter. The baby’s happy face with his inviting smile, his body language, his comfort with my presence, and most of all, the big hug he gave me – all made my day. My heart overflowed with joy, and I couldn’t stop smiling. CK saw all that had transpired, and he agreed that our amazing son had sent this little angel to give me the hug I had been asking for.

Once again, a Leo SnS and gift – in perfect timing!

We are aware of how Leo loves to send little children to us. Last December, we stayed at a hotel in Victoria to soak up the Christmas atmosphere, complete with carols and decorations. I noticed a little boy in a stroller all by himself and he was looking quite miserable. I realized an older woman was taking care of five other young children and he was part of her group. He was left alone and feeling very neglected while the others were laughing and enjoying the trees and lights. I alerted the woman about the little boy, and she told me that was her grandson, and the others were kids in her care. I felt better when she let him out of the stroller so he could join the others. His whole demeanour changed, and he ran to the tree to pose for me with a mischievous expression.

It was so much fun to see him and all the other kids posing for a picture together. CK and I always enjoy these unplanned encounters with little children and seeing how they enjoy the simple pleasures of life. The smiles on their faces are the best gifts for us. Thanks to our precious Leo!

A few years ago, when I was contemplating how and where to look for an editor, one morning I woke up to a thunderous voice, saying: “ZIA!” It was a clear instruction, and I knew I had to take action right away. I already knew Zia at the time but had no idea she did editing among other things. She was the chosen one!

During the time when she was helping me create Leo’s website and then again when she was editing the book, she received some undeniable signs from Leo. She has come to know him quite well. She is attuned to the Spirit world and quick to perceive the SnS whenever we have sacred ceremonies at Leo’s Tree.

On Christmas Day this year, I heard from my talented editor and dear friend. She reported that, on Christmas Eve, she was driving to Sidney from Victoria, where she lives. She knew my birthday was coming up at the end of the month and asked Leo if he had a message he’d like her to give me. Shortly afterward, a splendid rainbow appeared on the horizon.

We get rainbows often in the fountain on the lake behind our home and we are certain it’s one of Leo’s signs.

Whenever I talk to Leo in my heart if I am in the car, he responds with signs almost instantly as if we are conversing in real time. This is thrilling and comforting for us. So, I am more than happy that Zia was having a similar experience. Leo is closer to us than ever and we have an ongoing relationship.

Zia also told me that she was in London, England, in November, where she felt called to go to St. Marylebone Church as part of a birthday walk for the late 18th century poet and visionary, William Blake. She sent me two pictures, one where the golden light is streaming in from the window, and the other, an extraordinary sign! They are both magical and powerful.

The name LEO can be seen on the right-hand side (circled in red in the picture below), and there’s a mirrored image on the other side.

Zia is a light worker, and she works energetically with others who are on the same path to help manifest the New Earth/New World. It is hard to believe the world will change for the better when it is in such chaos and tumult at the moment.

I know for sure that Leo, as a Divine Being, is on a Mission of Peace for our world. As a young child, he always told people that he was going to make this world a better place. Leo’s signature in the sacred cathedral is another validation of who he really IS and what he is doing beyond human imagination.

When I was thinking of a title for this article, I thought it would be “Happy Birthday, MOM!” Then I heard “Happy Birthday to my Dearest MOM!” I ran out to look at the card Leo had given me the last time I received a physical card from him. It is priceless to me and CK, and we have placed it in a visible part of our home.

Our forever gratitude to you, dearest Leo, for your unwavering love and support for me and your DAD!  The joy you are giving us is immeasurable. Knowing that you are closer to us than ever gives us the strength to carry on – to honour you and fulfill our purpose.
