The Enchanting 810

8/10 was the date that Leo was born into this human world, and it was also the exact time he had chosen to return HOME.  This is a number that is now a part of our lives since his transition, nine-and-a-half years ago. It is most significant and meaningful to my husband CK, Leo, and me. Our encounters with 810 are all magical and fascinating. It is enchanting because we feel the Love and Lightness, Joy and Gratitude whenever we see it in various ways. Whenever this happens, I know we are tuned into Leo’s true essence and the Greater Reality. As with all the Signs and Synchronicities (SnS), they are beyond logic and human analysis.

I talk with Leo every day and I ask for his validations that he hears me. For many years now, our respectful Son has been responding with ongoing SnS. We know these are Leo’s way of saying, “Mom and Dad, there is no separation. I am right here with you.” We are reassured of our son’s continual existence and the active role he plays in our lives.

In my book “The Infinite Bond”, I wrote a chapter called “The Calling Codes,” explaining how 810 is one of Leo’s codes for us. It is like a text message, a call, or an email from Spirit/Leo.

I will never forget how CK and I stayed overnight at a hotel in Victoria a few years ago and then realized it had an 810 address the next day.

Even the agent who had helped us book the room had an 8/10 birthday. It couldn’t be more synchronous!

Since then, we have had countless 810 encounters. It can show up as the time on our devices, a house number on a post, on car license plates, or as birth dates of people we have just met.

One of the earliest Leo Memorial Scholarship recipients had the same birthday as Leo. It’s always stunning when 810 pops up while I am talking to one of his friends or to other moms who have children in the Spirit world.

Here, I am highlighting some of the fascinating encounters we have had with 810 since “The Infinite Bond” was published.

On the evening of Leo’s birthday last year, we were walking to a restaurant along Victoria’s Inner Harbour. Suddenly, I stopped and told CK I would prefer to go to the restaurant up the slope. We were there the previous year and had an enjoyable time with our friends.

We had almost finished our dinner when I started chatting with the young couple whose table was about eight feet away. They had arrived in Victoria the day before to celebrate their first wedding anniversary and now they were celebrating the husband’s birthday. It meant that we were once again connected with someone with the same birthday as Leo, exactly on 8/10.

It got more incredible when we discovered that we all live in the same city in Metro Vancouver and the wife’s birthday was the same as CK’s!  The young woman also shared that her brother had transitioned only a year before and she knew what her parents were going through. I couldn’t have made this up!

On another note, the cute little boy we met on the ferry to Victoria for Leo’s 8/10 birthday two years ago will be turning four soon. He and his family were right behind us in the lineup to the dining area. I can still hear his sister saying: “He will be two tomorrow!”

His mom and I couldn’t help marvelling over how we were meant to meet. We were all travelling to Vancouver Island and we both had boys sharing the same 8/10 birthday the next day. It was the first time we had to wait for two sailings to get on the ferry and we would not have met otherwise. It was their first time to eat in the ferry’s restaurant. Leo has been connecting us with new friends everywhere in the most interesting ways!

Recently, when I found out there was a new review of “The Infinite Bond,” I looked for it on Amazon and sent a copy to myself for my records. I forgot about it until the next day when I found that the email had arrived in my mailbox at exactly 8:10 pm.

On the same day, CK was sorting out documents Leo had saved in his room. He came to me with a letter from the University of Victoria offering our son an extra sum of money in addition to the four-year Scholarship of Excellence. The amount was $810. How did they come up with that amount? Interesting it was not 800 but 810!

CK and I have seen dozens of LEO license plates in less than a year. There are times when it’s impossible to take a picture. I am never disappointed, knowing our son is going to send another one soon. He will give us the 810 plate to say, “Mom knows!” I am aware that Leo also follows up with his Calling Codes after he gives us the LEO plates.

The most recent of these happened a couple of weeks ago. We had finished our walk at our favourite trail and were returning to our car in the small parking lot. The car with the LEO license plate couldn’t be missed as we had to walk past it.

Almost simultaneously, we saw the 810 car to its left. I knew that was Leo saying, “Mom, I hear you. I enjoy everything with you and Dad!” He’d heard my request to join us on our Nature walk. As I was taking a picture of the LEO plate, the 810 car was leaving. We would not have seen the two cars together if we were even a minute late.

Before the Chinese New Year, we had finally found a local ‘art frame’ to properly frame the exquisite piece of embroidery with 11 monarch butterflies. It is a most precious piece for us because it is a gift from our son Leo. He sent it to us in the most mysterious way after his return to the Light. The magical experience has inspired the chapter in “The Infinite Bond” named, “The Monarch Butterflies.”

Our loving and respectful son acknowledged us with thanks after we picked up the artwork. We were driving into the park to visit his tree when we saw the 810-license plate on the car in front of us. The timing of these appearances is always perfect.

The sky grew cloudy later in the day and we did not expect to see sun. As soon as the embroidery was displayed in our living room, my husband said, “Look, the Light!”  The Golden Light came all the way into the room, illuminating the area with the monarch butterflies.

We are grateful for the Enchanting 810 and all the communication from Leo. He confirms over and over that “Love never dies and Life never ends!”

I hear clearly from this Compassionate Being we call our Son:

“May all Beings be Free from suffering. May all Beings be Happy.”
